Jena-Optronik is a pioneer in the field of multi-spectral earth observation and optical sensors for altitude and orbit control for satellites. Jena-Optronik has become a reliable partner for many space agencies, as well as for almost all large space companies in Asia, Russia, Europe and North America.
The sensors from Jena are used, for example, in star sensors, in the weather cameras of satellites, and whenever a transport capsule brings new material to the International Space Station ISS. In the process, sensor systems from Jena are used as "parking aids". They ensure that the transport capsule can dock at the ISS without any damage or accidents.
NASA and ESA collaborate with Jena Optronik for further space exploration. The company researches, develops, tests and produces optoelectronic sensors and Instruments.
