Als außeruniversitäre Forschungseinrichtung und amtliche Materialprüfanstalt im Freistaat Thüringen vereinen wir Forschungskompetenzen mit wirtschaftlichen Tätigkeiten bei der Prüfung, Überwachung und Zertifizierung von Werkstoffen, Bauteilen, Bauprodukten bis hin zu Bauwerken.

Die Forschungsaktivitäten gehören zu den Schwerpunkten:

• Hochauflösende Echtzeitanalysen
• Multifunktionale Werkstoffe und Bauteile
• Materialmodellierung und –simulation, System- und Parameteridentifikation

Für Prüfungen, Untersuchungen und Zertifizierungen ist die MFPA akkreditiert als Prüflaboratorium, als Überwachungsstelle, als Zertifizierungsstelle und als Kalibrierlabor. Die MFPA beschäftigt derzeit insgesamt ca. 90 Mitarbeiter am Hauptsitz in Weimar sowie an den Standorten Apolda und Ilmenau.

As an extramural research institution and official materials testing institute in the Free State of Thuringia, we combine research expertise with economic activities in the testing, monitoring andcertification of materials, components, construction products and Buildings.
